The ISPM 2019 is the world's number one meeting place for scholars, planners, and practitioners working with participatory mapping (PPGIS) and related methods. This year’s conference edition aims to highlight the potential of participatory mapping in enhancing and supporting the dialog between research and urban planning practice. The conference is held in Espoo in the Helsinki Capital Region between June 16-19, 2019. Visit the ISPM 2019 website for more details.
Maptionnaire is delighted to partner with the conference as the main sponsor, and we're looking very much forward to seeing you in Finland in June!
Maptionnaire Summer Meetup on Monday Evening
You are also warmly invited to attend the Maptionnaire community's Summer Meetup in the evening of June 17 in Helsinki. The gathering doubles as a side event for the conference.
The Summer Meetup will feature a few inspiring experiences of applying Maptionnaire surveys in different contexts as well as an opportunity to mix and mingle with colleagues.
During the meetup, we’ll get to hear e.g. from the ISPM Conference keynote speaker, Scott Robinson, the Senior City Planner of the City of Denver. He’ll tell us about their experiences with Maptionnaire, and how the use of Maptionnaire has influenced the planning process in Denver. We’ll also see presentations from PPGIS-evangelist Douwe Blanksma and from Antonina Myllymäki, planner in the master planning unit at the City of Vantaa.
