Challenge: A need to reach a larger amount of people with more efficient use of resources.

Solution: Instead of organizing events and workshops, Warm in the Winter has started using Maptionnaire. They have been able to reach more respondents and have saved time and money.

Warm in the Winter is a group of consultants who expertise in architecture, urban planning, and design. They work with municipalities and real-estate developers and help them with design, analysis, and processes related to urban development initiatives. They cooperate and communicate with residents, stakeholders, and professionals mainly in the early stages of a planning process.

Conducting these processes while maintaining a high-quality dialogue can be costly and require a lot of time. Warm in the Winter was seeking a way to reach out to a larger group of people in an efficient way. They heard about Maptionnaire, and decided to give it a go.

Striving for More Efficient Use of Resources

Warm in the Winter found that Maptionnaire’s interface and features catered to their and their customers’ needs, the tool was easy to use, and it was saving them and their clients a lot of additional resources.

Today, Warm in the Winter uses Maptionnaire as a way of reaching a larger group of people to be engaged in dialogue. Instead of allocating a lot of time and money to big events and workshops, Warm in the Winter has decided to use Maptionnaire—and has gotten much better results with engaging people in the process and making the dialogue smoother.

Using Maptionnaire in Swedish Municipalities

Maptionnaire questionnaire for Danderyds Municipality.

Warm in the Winter has created a Maptionnaire survey for instance for Södertälje Municipality where they investigated how the quality of the area of Fristad can be developed. They asked residents about their modes of transportation (cycling, walking, driving, public transport), about the places where they spend time and meet people, and asked for opinions about the forests and parks and the services in the area. At Danderyds Municipality they surveyed people about how they’d like to develop Djursholm square and create an even more attractive and accessible municipal center.

Engaging a lot of people and listening different opinions can be easy, fun, and inspiring. And it doesn’t have to require an enormous amount of resources.
