The local community holds invaluable, real-time know-how about their daily journeys, making them essential contributors to transportation planning. But how can we tap into this wealth of knowledge and turn it into actionable data?

A digital, map-based approach to community engagement is transforming transportation and mobility planning. By leveraging map-based interactions, planners can gain valuable insights into the true needs of diverse communities. This efficient, data-driven method helps identify key areas for improvement and reveals local mobility preferences.

Join Anna Broberg, James Taylor, Rachel Bronson, and Kenny Armstrong to see how digital map-based engagement can turn local insights into impactful decisions that drive progress in transportation planning!

Webinar speakers: Anna Broberg, co-founder & COO at Maptionnaire, James Taylor, Senior Planner at Franklin Associates, Rachel Bronson, and Kenny Armstrong, Multimodal Transportation Specialists at TPD

Anna Broberg will kick things off with an overview of digital map-based community engagement and its benefits for transportation and mobility planning.

James Taylor will share insights from a Franklin Associates project, showing how they gathered input from all corners of the community for a Mississippi River crossing by replicating in-person engagement activities online and expanding input opportunities for those unable to attend.

Rachel Bronson and Kenny Armstrong will wrap things up by discussing how we’re all experts in our local communities—like knowing where the best crossing should be, where a new greenway connection is needed, and which traffic signals cause the most problems. They’ll show how TPB taps into this local knowledge through online engagement with Maptionnaire.
