Maptionnaire is turning 10 this year! 🎉 So we decided to ask ten questions from the people who work hard to put the map in Maptionnaire. To start off our staff Q&A series, let’s hear it from Jenna.
ps. Don’t forget to follow Jenna’s takeover on Maptionnaire’s Instagram!
1. Who are you and what do you do at Maptionnaire?
I’m Jenna and I work as a key account manager. I take care of our existing customers and introduce Maptionnaire to new potential customers in the DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) area. (ps. I also speak German so feel free to contact me auf Deutsch.)
2. What is your typical work week like?
I keep in touch with our existing customers, contacting them about their licenses or any other matters they might need help with. I also work actively with our sales campaigns and organize Maptionnaire demos mainly for Finnish cities, municipalities, and companies but also for other potential customers. I have regular service meetings with our existing customers to make sure they are getting the most out of Maptionnaire.
3. What’s your favorite dish to have for lunch?
Rainbow trout and warm veggies
4. Who is your role model?
There are too many! 🙂
5. What do you like most about your work at Maptionnaire?
My Maptionnaire colleagues are down-to-earth and friendly. At the same time there exists a huge amount of academic knowledge (and not only about community engagement) among our staff. I also like the fact that there is a freezer dedicated almost entirely for ice cream at our office. 🍦
6. What’s your favorite feature in the Maptionnaire software? What do you like about it most?
I like the fact that you can have an ongoing survey that is open all year around, 24/7, that is meant to continuously collect information from the citizens. You can e.g. ask residents what needs fixing or what relevant piece of information they just learned in their environment that they want to pass on to the city officials. You can take a picture of a broken park bench, submit it in the Maptionnaire survey as a map point, and the next moment someone working for the city can already react to it. For a citizen there is the element of feeling included.
7. What’s your favorite hobby?
I enjoy long walks by the Baltic sea here in Helsinki while listening to a nice podcast that's teaching me something new.
8. What are your favorite places in cities? What do you like seeing / experiencing when you visit a new city?
Parks and old, historical blocks.
9. What would you like to see more in cities of the future? What is your dream city like?
A city that invites everyone to sit in parks and have picnics there.
10. What greetings do you have for our blog readers?
Maptionnaire is an easy way to make citizens feel included. If you’re already a Maptionnaire user, you probably know this already, but if not (yet 😉), let's get in touch and I'll tell you more. You can reach me at jenna@maptionnaire.com!
